My Story of Women and Circles
Back around the turn of the century, I began a new circle with my good friend Naomi Mirabai. We were a small group of women who met monthly at the time of the dark moon, when energy tends to draw inwards, a great time to set intentions for the month ahead. Back in those days, we had dinner first, then sat down for circle afterwards. It was funny how, after an hour of dinner conversation, you still didn't find out how people really were until we had opened our safe, sacred space. Then we could really check in with how we were. Understanding myself more, with my sisters as witness, gave me inspiration and motivation to make positive changes in my life. |
